MHSW is a private mental health clinic located in the heart of Busselton, Western Australia. Our clinic currently offers psychiatric care by Dr Darren Catling (MBBS, FRANZCP). 

We will continue to provide individualised, evidence-based, confidential treatment for people experiencing mental health concerns.

The clinic has ample parking at the rear of the building and limited spaces at the front. Please do not park on the lawn.

We are not accepting new referrals at this time. 

Areas of interest include PTSD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.  

MHSW has several rooms available for psychiatrists wishing to join a private practice in an area where demand for services is high. The scope of practice is up to the individual and can be discussed with the practice manager Robyn on reception@mhsw.com.au.

New Patients

Before we can see you, we require a copy of your referral before booking an appointment. Please send your referral to referrals@mhsw.com.au.

We receive a high volume of calls each day and where possible would encourage you to email reception@mhsw.com.au with your requests and queries. We will endeavour to respond to you as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that not all patients referred are offered an appointment.

Scripts & Referrals

Services provided by psychiatrists, psychologists and specialist nurses are eligible for Medicare rebates.

For all services at MHSW a referral is necessary to receive a rebate. A referral from a GP is valid for 12 months and a specialist referral for only 3 months. Please send your referral to referrals@mhsw.com.au.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 000 or go to your nearest Emergency Department. Alternatively, you may wish to call the Mental Health Emergency Response line on 1300 555 788.

Scripts

If you require a new script, please email reception@mhsw.com.au with the following information:

  • Medication name
  • Your current dosage dispensed
  • Name of your pharmacy
  • Contact details of your pharmacy

We will let you know when your script is with your pharmacy after you pay the fee for a one-off script or short appointment fee for scripts with repeats.

Please note:

This is a service only available to current patients of Dr. Catling.

Payment information

This practice has a private billing policy and same day settlement of account is required. Medicare will provide rebates for many of the services for all patients with a valid Medicare card.

The rebate will be processed on the day of appointment if all the necessary information has been provided.

Fees will vary depending on the type of consultation. Our administration staff will be happy to advise you of the consultation fee upon booking an appointment over the telephone.
